“PATHWAYS TO PUBLISHING”  A Writers Workshop

 

Greetings Writers,

 

At the 29^th Annual CNU Writers Conference, my friend and fellow poet Ann Shalaski was talking about the keynote address and its benefits for the audience.

 

During our discussion Ann mentioned that most writers know their subject matter and know the mechanics of the writing process. She commented to me, “Many local writers are craving more information concerning the process and steps to being published.”

 

I have journeyed these past ten years through the maze of publishing in this new technology era.  Having had one book published by a ‘vanity press’ with eight others currently on the market as self published, I have experienced first hand the mine fields of today’s ‘publishing process.’

 

I know the mistakes and problem areas, but more importantly, I now know what must be done, to get a professionally produced book onto the shelves of Barnes and Noble and available from Amazon, Powell’s and other distributors in the current marketplace.

 

If the writers in your group want to be published by a major NY house, I know how.

If the writers in your group want to use a vanity POD publisher, I know how.

If the writers in your group wish to learn the steps to self publishing, I know how.

 

I would like to take this opportunity to share my “Pathways to Publication” program with the writers in your group. There is no cost to your group, as I understand the struggles we writers face.  As a full time author, I am blessed with a fairly open schedule and can accommodate day or evening meeting times.
