You have ‘surfed’ to Mana'o Publishing and the online ohana of the Voyeuristic Poet.

Located on the island of Maui, Hawaii, Mana'o Publishing exhibits and archives the

works of poet, author and storyteller Branch Isole.

While many poets today attempt to overwhelm

with ‘slam’ language, Branch’s poetry is more a

whisper than a shout, directed at the mind as

well as the senses.

“The lessons of life are universal” said Branch

in a recent interview from his home in Hawaii.

He describes his writing as short stories of shared

common interests with adult themes.

Branch goes on to explain “Most people tend to

shy away from or avoid poetry and perceive the

genre as staid or archaic. These are stories of relationships and reflection, most often

in rhyme with an embedded connection to the reader.” The stories in Branch’s books reach across a broad spectrum of issues and emotions surrounding personal responsibility choice and avoidance. Voyeurism Poetry engages the reader in life situations often experienced but not always voiced.

In a presentation akin to the traveling minstrel who observes and comments on the interactions of those he meets and spends time with, these are lyrical songs without the music. It’s a style and purpose

of story telling designed to touch today’s reader. “My readers fall into two categories” he said “those who are drawn to the story situation and those who identify with the emotions.”

Branch shares mana'o through writing and in person with individuals and groups visiting Hawaii and invites you into the Mana'o Publishing hui for your reading enjoyment.

Mana'o (pronounced Ma-Na-Oh) is Hawaiian for ‘Thoughts, Ideas, and Opinions’

Ohana (pronounced Oh-Ha-Na) is Hawaiian for family.

Hui (pronounced Hoo-Ee) is Hawaiian for community.
